    Maybe Panamanian Balboa - same weight and purity of US dollar and piece of 8. cements the historical importance and influence of the piece of 8

    Got the bullion version of this, surprisingly low mintage of 50,000.

    The first bi-metallic coin to be widely used in the 20th century is the 500 Lira issued by the Italian government in 1982.
