Hi forum members, I'm from Perth. Good to be able to share PM knowledge with you. I've been buying gold since Nov 2007. Best strategic and tactical investment decision I've ever made. Hope to chat with you soon. Cheers
ukgirl saying hello to augirl. (Notice to the regs: Yes, I am aware that applying the term 'girl' towards myself is pushing it somewhat....but just work with me here, ok?!? )
Ok things can get pretty complicated around here so is that au for OZ girl? or au for gold girl?...I'm dyslexic so its pretty hard for me to pronounce au without swallowing my tongue and spinning my eyeballs around Ohh yep Big WELCOME
I'm interested to see how long this thread will run purely because the username implies a new female member. I remember that 'Thatguy' made a similar observation regarding the number of replies to my newbie thread: http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-9876-hi-there-page-2.html Eeee, them were't days! *goes all misty eyed*
Wow, thank you all for the warm welcome. Yep it's au for Gold and Girl for female Originally from Asia- Indonesia but has been settling down in Perth for the many many years. My mum was gold jeweller back then, I used to help her to watch for her shop when I was teenager. So I was brought up to understand the value of Gold to preserve your wealth. But I was 'lured' away by the Shares bubble from 98 - 08, has completely ignored Gold during this period of time. I was lucky a chance browsing of internet sites brought me back to Gold in Nov 2007. By Sep 08, just before the market went over the cliff, I have sold out all my crap bank shares, industrial shares, managed fund, and switch it to gold (physical) and gradually building up gold etf and shares portfolio. Now, my portfolio allocation consists of 65% gold, 30% cash, and have just started buying energy, metal mining ETF and NCM (Newcrest) last week and planning to allocate up to 10% to resource shares if the market panic again ... Hope I'd be able to share my knowledge and getting more from the experience members here. PS: I particularly find the All Ord to Gold ratio and House to Gold ratio graph a very enlightening piece of work. I must say thank you to these guys that took time to share the chart.
