Hey all, I discovered this stacking culture last year while doing my research paper for a bachelor of visual arts degree. My art practice is photography and my interests lie with the materiality of analogue processes, which of course involve silver. When I completed my paper I rewarded myself by buying a 1oz XAG intrinsic tender bar from perthbullion.com, I was quite compelled by the correlation between the way stackers see value in having something tangible as opposed to paper money and the value I see in having a sheet of film with silver bromide that is physically changed though exposure to light rather than just an image that is a string of code. ...Next thing I knew I was looking at the kg bars So anyway, that is me. I don't know anything about silver bars or rounds, but I know a great deal about 19th century photography and a little about the european alchemists of the early modern period so if you are interested in that, I'd love to hear from you.
Welcome. That is one way of finding yourself on the Silver / Gold path. Enjoy the journey and take lots of pics.
