It's 24k gold plated. Gold value is near ziltch but I would have thought the piece would of had more value as a collectible.

Collectable? Collectable what? Its not Third Reich. Its not "WW1" era despite that being claimed. It's nothing genuine German post WW2 or there wouldn't be a traditional "iron cross" symbol set inside the Third Reich style eagle. It's a complete piece of collectable rubbish.
