Greetings from (not so) sunny Scotland. I'm posting on what will be our company account (note to self - must seek out a mod next) - we're a small team of 4 obsessive stackers who have just recently turned what was a hobby into work. At least it seemed like a good idea two months ago... when we began setting up what we hope will become the go-to directory for precious metals. One of us is a numismatist, the other three are firmly in the bullion camp. We differ wildly in our forecasts for the metals and political allegiances but come together in our near evangelical gold-buggishness. I really look forward to getting to know you and hope we can bring something useful to the forum. all the best Mac
Hi and welcome! Scotland seems like a very nice place, at least from the pictures taken by my cousin who is studying there.
Which currency will you use after independence? I believe Stirling and the Euro won't be available to you.
Personally I doubt we'll get independence, but if we did we're keeping pound sterling - that was just a scare campaign from the "No" campaigners. I did hear that an independent Scotland would drop the VAT on silver coins to zero... going for the stacker vote
Me I'm in Edinburgh (South East Scotland) and we work in East Lothian, 50 yards from the sea. Apparently Dunbar's the sunniest spot in the UK...
Great intro and welcome to the forum PM Goldpelican about your account. There's been some changes in how companies interact with the forum.
Thanks House - I emailed "Admin" on registering to say this was a company account, as I spotted that in the rules, so I'll wait and see what happens. Maybe I get a special badge Yes was in two minds to register as myself and have a footer disclaimer, or go for company. We've got nothing to sell anyway.
o ye have a wee bit of gold and a wee bit of silver. Hard to git gold outve a scotsman. Welcome, hope you understand Auzzie silver slang. Regards Errol 43
Thanks - that's the EXACT look I was going for Our logo was actually designed by my 5y/o daughter. If I was in the office I'd scan the original - it's not quite so mammarian, but a little more crayon. She meant it to be a pirate doubloon (blame Jake and the Neverland Pirates) and she's very proud her design is on a website - bless. Some pay millions for a logo - I gave her an extra GBP pocket-money.
