just began stacking late last year. got myself around 35 oz so far. I would have continued lurking around on this site if i weren't told yesterday that my profile looks dodgy to sellers. haha. so here i am saying hello and hopefully can make a purchase from here as soon as possible
thank you all. need some advice. i am more of a collector than investor. but i do like to see my coins appreciate in value. is it advisable to buy rounds with hefty premium? do such rounds usually go up in value with time? or rather, have there been any instances where a 999 silver round depreciated in value?
Hi aireek My advice, and some may agree and others will vehemently disagree, if you are buying rounds look for low premium rounds. With a very few exceptions rounds to me fall into the "silver is silver" camp. If you buy low premium rounds they will fluctuate in price along with the market (spot) and so may well go up but could also go down. This means their value in the future is strongly tied to the silver market of the future...... and discussing that is a whole other ball game Their advantage however is if you price correctly they will almost always sell quickly should you need to sell. I would suggest taking some time to read through the forums - there is much there from much more experienced hands than I. It will also allow you to get a better feel for what sort of silver you might want to consider buying. For the moment though, welcome!!
