did not buy any metals.. But paid off my credit card... I am now DEBT FREE... Only loan I have is my car loan which is more of an expense than a debt..

It felt nice calling the bank and asking them to cancel the damn thing.

I know that feeling, vish! I stood in a bank queue for ages, waiting to cut my credit card up. When they realised I actually wanted to cut it up, they had to go find scissors. Then I melodramatically cut it up and some ppl in the queue clapped. Ahhhhh!!!

I resent unsolicited credit card offers. My bank sent one saying "We've looked at your finances and think you'd be an ideal candidate blah blah blah and have pre-approved you for a credit card". All I had to do was give income details. How could I be an ideal candidate when they don't know my income details? Well.... my mortgage is with them and I owe less than 30% on it. Hmmm...

And yes, I have pre-spent some of my expected tax return on silver. If it isn't what I expected, I can sell it or find the fiat somewhere! :)

(edit: I accidentally said "find the money somewhere". Sorry. I am deeply sorry. I won't do it again. Promise. p.s.: sorry.)

Well you're not completely debt free really, but I'm glad you've made progress nonetheless :)

I know a few people that are paying off their credit cards with their tax returns actually. :/
