Cheers, signed up. Any idea of how many signatories or do you need to subscribe to the newsletter to find out?
That's a good question mate. Probably safer to join newsletter if you want more info on how it progresses. this is something which every SS member should be joining and supporting, unless of course you're a lunatic state lover
The Port Philip Publishing newletters kept hinting for months they have some substancial initiative relating to superannuation. I was hoping they'd do something like sue APRA/ASIC for violating the SIS act since the current super system consisting of: -cozy public service defined-benefits fund -union-controlled war chests masquarading as Super funds -and the rest, being percentage-takers in symbiotic feedback-loops with interested parties does not function to provide means of living for their constituent retiring Australians, and thus ASIC/APRA has failed in their purpose and needs to be un-established. An attention-grabbing stunt like that has zero chance of succeeding but would make the 6.00 news. A simple slogan like 'Hands off my Super' can galvanize widespread appeal. Instead we have a low-profile petition that would be basically preaching to the converted. Can't hide how disappointed I am.
It will only remain low profile if people such as yourself do not send an email link of the petition to everybody you can think of in your address book.... The petition itself is a great idea! it's what you do with it now that will determine whether it grows like an avalanche or whether it peters out like the morning mist... 1. Did you join the petition? 2. And just as important... are you doing anything to make others you know aware of this petition??? If you haven't at least done these two things, then you're in no way entitled to critisise Kris.
This is just so bloody ridiculous. Government wants us all to save like good citizens one minute, then when it realises how much money they can steal from us, they forget all about that and dig their grubby hands in our stacks to feed their out of control spending habits.
