I recently bought some silverware with the following hallmark. I cannot find a match ? I am not sure if its plate or solid silver.

The first two letters are "JR" there are no British silver standard marks or City Mark ?

I will take it to the PM to see if their machine will tell me more ?

    Can anyone help ??

    Thanks

Incidentally, I've just been looking up assay marks for my masonic pendant I've got for offer in the trade threads...

Check out http://www.theassayoffice.co.uk/date_letters.html for date stamps and other British Hallmark information - its a GREAT resource for dating items!
