I picked up this 4 ducat and bezel recently and it just arrived in the mail. Unfortunately the hallmark on the bezel is worn to the point that it's wholly unreadable. It sort off looks like the first number is 2 but I don't think that's right. I was going someone here might have the same bezel or have seen one before and might know what karat it is? I couldn't find anything on ebay or a Google image search which is a little frustrating. I'm hoping the fact that it has a hallmark is a sign it is gold and not plated but you never know. I'll have it XRFd next time I can but who knows when that will be, so if anyone can help out with an ID that would be great. Thanks!
Don't think anyone would put a real cheap bezel on 986 ducat. Maybe 14k. mines 18 on the one I have very similar.
Courtesy of the good people at gold diggers warradale and their radioactive wonder stick I now know it's 14k (well 13 abs change). Ill call that a win.
