    05 444 444 50 - 8 digit radar

    xx 244 442 - 6 digit radar

Carry a premium in UNC condition especially 8 digit radars

Radar bills have a serial number that reads the same forwards or backwards! For example, 45733754

Its a palandrome for numbers.. i actually call it palandromatic serial but thought Radar was the more common term of the two,

Here is a good guide for the 10 top features to look for in a bank note to enhance its value (potentially)

WHY would it carry a premium though? Because the numbers create a pretty pattern?

    Hi,

I guess if you like Banknotes and palendromic numbers then you may pay a premium, i find it ironic that i am even holding these fiat notes honestly and would easily trade for a tiny premium over face..

I guess the simple answer is additonal demand over supply, radars must have enough demand and not enough supply for them to have justifyed premiums, i like them but dont want to become more of a note collector.. rather i want to sell them all..

The market for polymer notes is dead ;)
2 dealers have been caught out overvaluing new notes in super funds

Yeah i cashed in half my UNC conseq notes.. i had a bunch of $5's id pulled out of auto check-outs at woolworths/coles.. probably better off buying gold/silver with them

Just a shame having a phat stack of unc notes.. and them basically being worth face.. id better spend before face value has a diminished purchasing power..

Anyone in sydney want some unc and AA prefix notes at close to no premium F2F

    I know!

I pulled out 25 consecutive UNC Last Prefix 08 $100 notes from ANZ.

Catalogue value is $175 or something like that, I tried to buy some coins from a dealer and he wouldn't even give me any discount if I paid with one of them, the other banknote dealer didn't want to buy any but took my number in case he got a customer who was looking for them. Either he lost my number or no one wants them.

I will probably try and spend them at another coin dealer and see if I can get any discounts but I am not hopeful.

Ok thats a good idea.. i might use them to do F2F trades.. then the next SS can decide if they want to KEEP or SPENT and ill seem like a good bugger for doing a trade in UNC conseq's.. sweet..

I bet the coin dealers would try to offer you 90% of there face value.. haha
