An ounce coin today is around $400. I may spend that much on food for the family in a week (or two). It won't cover electricity invoices in winter, nor annual car rego, car insurance, etc. It's not much.

1/4 ounce coins are better than itzy bitzy pieces of gold.

Ill stick to trading homemade booze for food and PM's. Wits a little hunting and gathering I don't intend to spend PM's in such a situation unless its on property.
