Looking for some graphs on government revenue and government spending. To be clear, I want to ignore GDP figures and percentages of GDP. Everything I can find is GDP related and I want to measure actual nominal revenue receipts vs actual nominal spending year on year. I'd like to go back to say 75.

Anyone know where this stuff can be found?

The best source for a long time series (back to 1970-71) is probably this one - http://www.budget.gov.au/2015-16/content/myefo/html/16_appendix_d.htm

ABS catalogue no. 5512 may have what you are after but I think only goes back to ~1988 (and needs you to read the scanned PDF's instead of having all of the data in a simple spreadsheet).

The budget website gives access to budgets since 1996-97 but you'll probably have to daisy chain the data and resort to hard copies from places like the National Library to go further back.
