I navigate through SS by clicking on a thread and then using the back button in IE to return.

This last couple of days, I've had to click back two or sometimes three times to get past those enigmatic invisible googleads/doubleclick pages.

    Personally I prefer Lynx.

I use IE at work, haven't had your problem Tacrezod. [Not saying that your problem isn't real, just saying I haven't seen it that's all :)]

Please don't derail this into an IE vs FF etc thread.

The relevant fact is this only started happening a couple of days ago (3-8-11?)

    Help or suggestions please?? GP??

    Wooohooo! Fixed it!

It's caused by the scrolling google ads at the top of the page.

If I was really the only one here with this problem, just congratulate me for having a good day :D

If they are cheesing anyone else off, let me know and I'll post the fix.

I have the same problem, just recently...

When I click on a link I get a clicking yellow flash next the curser, but I can't access the link.

The only way to access the link is to 'right click' and 'open the link', but let me say that It's nothing to do with Silver Stackers as this also happens on other sites...

My guess is, something has been changed in IE or possibly with Google, methink...

Not sure if yours is the same problem domdolittle, but here's how to lose the google ads and make the ie back button work properly.

    Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

    Open etc with notepad.

    Add this;

    127.0.0.1 pagead.googlesyndication.com
    127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com

underneath any other entries in the file, leaving no blank lines inbetween.

    Save and close the file.

    Restart ie

Thanks to www.techsupportalert.com for the solution.

Would just like to point out that users browsing the Google ads keep the lights on at Silver Stackers...

    No offence intended GP.

You understand it isn't the googleasds per se, but the way they interfered with the navigaton that ticked me off.
