Gold Symposium is on again this year - there is an early bird registration offer of $199 available at http://gold.symposium.net.au/
Right... after bollocksing up and double booking myself last year - I'll start planning this TODAY. The only thing I'll be stacking this next few months is man points for a 3-day pass out... RD
Any one heard of The Melbourne Mint Recently registerd company , trading out of the old Melbourne mint building Spider senses tell me it's ABC Melbourne in stealth
So how did this go? What happened..who was there? I see GoldStackers got nominated for a 'gong'. (Well done GP)
I thought it was pretty good, except for ABC grabbing all the limelight David Evans tightened up his presentation and I think he should be on every year with it for the newbies - it is the best case for gold I've seen without getting all hypeish. Keith Weiner was also good IMO. I think next year they should have one room for mining company presentations which you can drop in and out of as you see fit, plus it would give them a bit more time, with all the investment in PMs presentations in another room. Good to see a range of dealers there as well.
Haha you were shitting yourself that the mint may have actually won something and you would need to go up on stage Kudos to Jean Kittson for one of the best researched comedy MC gigs I've ever seen.
Did you think it would be different bron? lol. The ABC show. We have been asked now by various people to attend next year, (pick up my bullion dealer of the year award obviously), however will steel some of the limelight getting around in my gumboots.
The Gold Symposium was a really worthwhile event. Obviously there is an upfront cost, but the amount of education you can cram into those two days makes it cheap at the price. +1 to Bron's comment about David Evans. I've seen his presentation before and he's really worth checking out.
Just got an email from Symposium. All the PowerPoint presentations from the event (about 150) are available for free here: http://gold.symposium.net.au/ By themselves some of the context might be a bit off, but there are video versions available for purchase which are narrated by the presenters.
