Just curious why the gold panda fractional coin doesn't seem to work out in Chinese currency.

    1 oz is 500
    1/2 oz is 200
    1/4 oz is 100
    1/10 oz is 50
    1/20 oz is 20

    Shouldn't the half oz be 250, 1/4oz 125 and the 1/20 oz be 25?

Are there some gold fractional coins from other country that doesn't make sense?

I think it's easier for the maker to round down the fractional coins :)

Another example is the Perth Mint Kilo silver coins have a face value of $30, even though the 1oz has a $1 face. (Kilos should be ~$32 face by this measure)

Pretty standard to round off to whole / round numbers for face value I think.
