Gold mines

    Hello everyone!

    We were thinking of heading out and doing some good ol' family camping/gold panning, someone suggested to us that we ask the people at the mines if we can get permission to gold pan on their land for a weekend sometime (we were thinking Cadia gold mine, near Orange NSW).

    Has anyone heard of this or is it a long shot?

    Unfortunately, having worked in the industry, I would guess your chances are longer than a long shot due to OH&S regulations/policies/liabilities.
