    hi everyone. newbie here.

    just bought my first batch of silver. some teaspoons "800" and some round 50s. hope to keep building up my collection and learn new things on this forum :)

    does anyone know of a place where i can buy round 50 cent coins in brisbane at a good price?

    i just noticed wdavis and son and they offer good prices....but they are in melbourne.

    my first batch of coins was bought on ebay at $14 a piece....

    any help would be much appreciated :)

    its a spoon marked 800 which i think is .800 or 80 percent silver? i think the ones i got are from italy.

    Round 50.. Welcome to ss..Interesting to hear about .800 spoons.

    Quite often I have looked at silver spoons but have never bought..I thought most of them were silver plated spoons from different areas of Australia.

    How do you tell the difference? Are they just marked .800?
