Good day. Just joined the forum. With my family growing I thought now would be a good time to get into investing in precious metals. Do you guys recommend reading any thread as a starting point? Many thanks
Welcome Sorry hit submit before answering your question Without giving a specific thread my advice is 1) Buy from trusted sources. Online trusted sources are all the site sponsors (But I personally favour Aurura et Luna and Goldstackers). Buy from them until you get a feel for what real Gold and Silver feels and sounds like (yes sounds like) 2) Dollar Cost Average 3) Put more than a token thought into your exit strategy. Who are you going to sell to? What are they going to want to buy? What signals / signs are going to trigger you into selling? 4) Attend a Silver Stacker meet and greet, take some money in the event you get the opportunity to buy something you like 5) Numismatics are for fun, unless you know your stuff. I don't so to me Numismatics are just for fun. 6) Dollar Cost Average 7) Try not to get caught up in the hype. There are a few lessons on this board. Perth Mint Sea Life in particular the "Nemo" coin is one I got caught up in. Lesson kinda learned

Welcome. Someone's already linked to the article on buying silver in Australia (getting slightly out of date!), and another must read is http://forums.silverstackers.com/to...sting-in-gold-and-silver-michael-maloney.html cheers Ben
The long term industrial fundamentals of silver are fantastic... learn about resource scarcity - this is a good start http://www.m2i.nl/images/stories/m2i material_scarcity report.pdf
