Ah cool, someone from toowoomba already, hi Greg, also, this is the first forum ive ever joined because i read all the problems newbies cause in other forums on various topics so I will do my best to research first and ask later. One thing I havnt worked out yet is when you make a post, is there a way to get notified on replies or do you just look up your post to check it ?

started with a '27 parliament florin, then got 3 other pre 46 florins to make the 1.3, i have a round 50 somewhere ive been keeping since a kid but not sure where exactly it is right at this point in time..lol, once i find it i will add its weight to my wonderful 1.3oz
Just so its out there incase i happen to meet like minded folk local, im interested in slowly collecting silver in coins or bars (one day) , and when i can jusitfy it, some gold, mainly so i can swim in a pit of money like the mcduck guy from the cartoon one day.. and also interested in fossicking for gold around the toowoomba area, (so far i have a pan and my friends have holes in their bakyards ) mainly so i can sell what i find to buy silver and gold bars one day lol looking at building a sluice soon once i figure out the best way to set one up etc since im making over buying. would be cool to meet any other gold hunters around the area

Welcome! You are starting off better than I did, I started off with 0.0oz of silver. Now I am tripping over the stuff, still not enough to swim in though, just enough to be a nuisance.
