Today, it was my first time bullion buying from offline shop.
Unlike jewelry shops, bullion shops are not easy to access for first time buyer.
    But there's very important benefit.
I don't have to wait for the shipping.
Immediately i can grab it in my hands.

I decided to go to wdavis, coz recommended in this forum somewhere,
I was going to buy 1/4 oz gold coin and some 1966 50c
but there was no gold coin today!
Guys, sometimes they don't have the one you're looking for. Call first before you visit.

Next thing I wanted was 1966 50c and 10oz silver bar.
Luckily there were stocks. I was appreciating for that.
The minimum amount 1966 50c I can buy is only one, which is good! I can go to get it, even without big amount of cash.

The dealer was very kind and friendly, and their website has live price table recalculating based on spot price almost real time.
He checked live price right before I pay and calculated total price.

And the next thing I realised was, I didn't bring any bag.
Gold or silver, very small but quite heavy.
I put them in my pocket, they were pulling down from in my pocket...
On my way back, I though maybe people could think I am carrying a gun.
Guys, prepare for a bag when you go to buy bullion

    Cheers.

The longest journey starts with a single step.

Thank you for sharing your experience which matches mine very closely.
My first purchase was also at W Davis.

I've always been meaning to check out W.Davis. I've only ever heard positive things about that business.

I've always had good dealings with them. If you are looking for something specific then i would recommend you call ahead and check if they have it in stock before going into the city.

I have found there is a relationship between price and stock at dealers.

Dealers that sell at reasonable prices never have stuff in stock when you visit because it is out the door as soon as it comes in.
If you walk into a dealer and they have lots of stock of all the coins you'd like to buy, it is usually because their prices are high.
