Bought my first 10 oz Perth Mint Silver bar today. From a reseller so probably paid about $10 more than I needed to but I just wanted one to add to my coins.

Can anyone recommend a reseller that gets decent bulk discounts from the mint so does not add too much on top? Or should I just register for an account with Perth Mint Bullion?

The cheapest prices will always be from the mint for bars, HOWEVER, the mint has some onerous processes for you to purchase from them, the other sellers are much easier to deal with.

I've bought some coins from there but the 10 oz Silver Bars seemed to be out of stock. :/

But the Mint is still the cheapest for bars in many cases even considering the $17.50/kg + 1% postage and insurance.
That said i have had no hassles at all with Aurora or some of the other sellers on this forum. Quite often it does not come down to just price. There have been brag artists making claim to be the cheapest but it does come down to respect and developing that working relationship with a seller.
Considering just bars though, Perth Mint will generally be the cheapest and resellers are cheaper for coins as was stated on another post.

Just a quick tip with perth mint buying:

    1kg bar + weight of envelope = paying for 2 kg's.

So you can get 1kg + a 20 oz bar for the same shipping cost.

    The more you know :)

    grinners - 100% correct

I was going to add that $17.50 per kilo along with the extra weight including packaging. Your idea is spot on
