    To be fair, in that particular listing the seller has tried to make it very clear: in pretty large red letters that it is not real silver, and also in the listing headline.

    I have no problem with that. And lets face it, nobody will think a 100oz bar for $20 is real.

    the problem lies it will float around in the secondary market...

    The same guy has got another listing for a 10oz bar with bids at $182 already.
    Although the bids might be some fake ones, it creates the illusion of value.

    To know more about 'Chinese Silver' , I looked up wikipedia ;

    Seems to be a copper alloy - with only 2% silver and other base metals, all being lighter than silver.
    If the bars on ebay weigh correctly, then they'll be far too bulky to be mistaken for 99.9% silver. Buyer beware !
