these are very hard to distinguish without a weight or a decent picture - many fakes are selling for hundreds every day its a massive threat to newbies who are too quick to bid on coins thinking they are legit.

ebay.com.au reporting is a huge joke (as is ebay.com) so i stopped bothering... this is why i report ebay fakes here now (we could make ebay.au number 1 on ss!) yeah SEO at work son!

The Chinese, or any other counterfeiter can fake just about anything. Even fake TPG slabs. Most stick with popular high population coins. I think there was a recent article about a rash of fake Morgans too. Be careful and only buy from trusted sellers. At least eBay has Buyer Protection. It has given me piece of mind. I'm not sure about others on this forum.

There is a lot of this sort of crap appearing on ebay UK, not Chinese coins in particular but you guys in OZ are fond of Engelhard bars, have a look at this 1 ozer someone has bid well over spot for this piece of crap.

The seller is also selling fake 1 oz krugerands of various dates.

Yes he says in the blurb they are fake/plated but ebay should ban this s--t as some poor newbie is going to be stung.

Yes I can read, as shown in original post, the point I'm making is this crap will end up being sold by unscrupulous dealers as genuine. Plus if you look at the ebay link someone who can't read has already been stung.
