Yes I was very disappointed when I saw it. I like Morgans. Lovely coins, but knowing there are almost as good as fakes is like finding out your boyfriend is two timing you.
A shame it happens, but that's reality for you. The ring test at the end is a dead giveaway though. I have a fake coin here for comparison (it's a fake morgan) and it's pretty easy to pick. But they're getting better with the fakes, that's for certain.
now they are melting common date morgans and turning them into the rare key dates, so the silver content is perfect and the ring and weight will be spot on but it would take a trained eye to spot anomalies to i.d. it as a fake
