Why is a coin on eBay for sale by Paradisemint, different from the original graded coin PL70 by NGC different? Same NGC verification # on slab, but NGC photos taken during verification were of the "black faced Silverback" and now a different coin of a non black face silverback in a high graded NGC slab same verification # only the coin has been changed? Do stackers care about these things, or do dealers think us nerds to be ripped off? I bid on this coin before verifying it with NGC, NGC says it was what is was when it left their offices, what coin in the high graded slab now, PL70, they can do nothing about! Is there no one who's watching the store or is changing coins to high grade slabs to fetch higher prices accepted by Stackers, or is this only done on eBay by @Paradisemint?☮️

If you look at the coin with the gorilla directly facing you on the coin, you'll see that it's the 2016 version, not a 2015 (Gorilla roaring) and the NGC website clearly shows the correct 2015 coin in the slab, therefore, it appears that the one Paradise Mint is selling is not a genuine NGC graded coin but one that has been knocked up with a generic slab, a fake label and the wrong year coin as you cannot usually remove a graded coin without destroying the slab. I would proceed with caution and if in doubt, do not bid, or at the very least, ask them lots of questions about the coin. They may or may not be knowingly selling a non genuine NGC slabbed coin.

You can add webpage links for the in your posts using the little chain icon at the top of the box when you hit the "post reply" button to let other people have a look at the coin in question. Hopefully this is of help to you :)

NGC Certification for the 2015 Gorilla - https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/4509500-110/70/

Look at Numista's website to see the different year Gorillas - https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?r=Congo+Silverback+Gorilla&ct=coin&p=1&x=14&y=12

One of the many YouTube videos showing how the slab is destroyed when removing coins from it -

Andrew, Hi, I was a Premium Seller for a few years on Ebay ... and no, Ebay couldn't care less about Fakes being sold ... I gave up on reporting them ... as the listings were never taken down.

    Caveat Emptor ... Buyer Beware
*if the purchase was made via Paypal ... and the buyer lodges a "item does not seem genuine" dispute within 30 days with Ebay ... or 180 days with Paypal ... the Buyer can get a refund ... but only after jumping through hoops to prove it is fake ... plus the buyer needs to provide a Justice of the Peace signed affidavit etc.

    Ebay sux big time

A 1 ounce gold bullion roo for $1,550 sold on 21 August 2020, when spot was about $2,700.
And no feedback as an eBay seller.

Yep, just goes to prove that eBay is full of buyers who have more dollars than sense.

I still get a chuckle when I see one particular seller selling all those barren rocks as 'gold bearing specimens' and the multitude of bids that he gets.

Some people do literally have rocks in their heads.

That wasn't there in the original listing, looks like he's updated it to cover himself. The other listing is still empty though.
