Not all packages, but if USPS is touching it at any point along the way, expect possible delays. Doesn't matter what type of mail, either.. 1st-class package, Priority, International, etc. This is taken from personal experience, from speaking with postal workers down in the trenches, and from USPS Facebook. I believe it's some sort of tech glitch, which is goofing up their system & slowing down processing. I've experienced a mix bag.. Some on time, some delayed by at least a few days now. Just a heads-up..
i have had some delays with my orders recently from usps! as a matter of fact it was last week and this week
The weather might not be helping in certain parts of the country, but there have been 2 confirmed firsthand experiences in my case (with possibly at least one other) where tech was the culprit..
Either would explain why I have had a package not move from Chicago since 3/3 when tracking. Thanks for the heads up
Same here.. international package, but coming the opposite direction. Seems like international might be getting hit the hardest. I'm assuming mine's been sitting in the US somewhere by this point.. Unless it's a *really* long flight?? So much for "priority" mail.. Seems like they're pissing off quite a few people these days, affecting their lives in all sorts of different ways.. It's unfortunate, because they've always been really good, at least to me -- until now.
All of the major shipping companies are recovering from the delays caused by the snow blizzards and extreme cold, which has effected most of the USA in recent weeks. The country is now going through a major warming trend, which will help everything return to normal very soon. The Government is also cutting the number of Homeland Security emplyees, though I don't know if that would have any impact of the mail management industry.
My package was so adverse to the cold that it took the scenic route from Texas....to Alabama.... to California.... A month later it managed to make it to Georgia. LOL
Yes, the US is so cold & snowy, that according to USPS "logic," the plane carrying my priority package that left Australia over a week ago has yet to land in the US, and has been circling the airport all this time, waiting for the runway to be cleared. In reality, my Aussie Ag is sitting in a freakin' warehouse right now, with all the other delayed packages & pieces of mail. Bottom line: There has been a major tech hiccup at USPS, and they are too stupid/scared/embarrassed to publicly admit that their computer system is currently all jacked-up, but that rest assured, they're working dilligently to restore service back to normal. Is that too much to ask these days?? Yeah, it makes me a little nervous that my package isn't here yet.. though I can live with it, as I'm sure it will reach me at some point. However, this has also been negatively affecting lots of individiuals & businesses in all sorts of much more serious ways now, with no let-up in sight.
I am in the same situation. At least the package I sent to AU made in early February, made it a month later. But the packaging I sent 300 miles is still missing in action after 8 days. If the package is lost, it is insured. I am sure the USPS would compensate me some time this decade.

One of mine from AUS took 3 times as long, compared to past orders with the same shipping level, per tracking. But, it's here, safe & sound. Really weird.. as some have gone through perfectly on time, while others just drag forever. Again, it's not weather -- it's tech related.
USPS shipped package arrived today from JMB that I had to sign for, the mail carrier ask me if it had been delayed, I replied it was delivered on time with the tracking and she told me there had been delays others were complaining about so I guess it is happening all over, I must have been lucky with mine except I ordered just before the big price drop.
