    Hi all

i was just wondering if anyone else has seen or noticed electrostatic gold?

i just gave a Perth mint 2004 Eureka gold nugget capsule a dust and the gold jumped around like pop corn for a bit then stuck like glue to the top of the capsule. I Googled the effect and Thomas Edison invented something like it to use the static to separate gold fines from black sands in the Sierra Nevadas, but his needed very dry sands/gold particles to work properly apparently.

Amazing stuff, i have seen gold float etc but never in a zillion years would have though to use static electricity to separate my heavy sands and fines, Be a great tool to have in the gold arsenal up dry creek beds in summer etc.

    kindest regards
    Phillip
