    1. 1979 Sovereign Proof
    Comes in original capsule
    Weight: 7.98g (22k)
    Pure gold content of 7.32240g
    Mintage: 50,000

    2. 1980 Half Sovereign Proof
    SOLD

    PLEASE NOTE:
    Both items were purchased from Bullion Now in Melbourne, so have been tested for weight and purity (Can send receipt via email to prove purchase).

    Unfortunately the previous owner/s, may have slightly mishandled the proof coins and there is a slight haze/fingerprint blemish on both coins (Queen side). Please look closely. If you require more photos send me a PM.

    It's cool to think of what the Inflation adjusted price would have been for these in 1979-80.

    I think In 1980 the gold price spiked to over $800USD!! From memory the gold price spiked to $400-500USD in 1979. From memory it was all on the back of inflation fears.
