I see on the GSA site that Englehard Aust is producing again.

Price point for the relaunch looks good, will order a few.

Thoughts on what it will do to price of the originals ?

If it's anything like XAG Buffaloes, then it will raise the value of the earlier stock.

Good point, interesting to see if the product range will extend to 1oz and 100oz bars, along with the extruded ones they previously made.

http://www.engelhard.com.au/#products GS have them in stock now.

Shouldn't have any impact on the vintage style prices, different category altogether.

Sorry Altima, no links, I don't know much about the relaunch, I seen the 10oz for sale on gold stackers site.

Relaunch must be recent as they were not there yesterday.

Well done House, you are fast.

Looks like it's just 10 & 5 Oz for now.

I thought Engelhard were taken over years ago? Have they risen from the dead?

Given a little time these new 1st Generation bars could very easily become sought after.

The domain engelhard.com.au seems to be owned by Perth Bullion (perthbullion.com / bullionbourse.com). I'm assuming that they have purchased the rights to make bars with the Engelhard Australia name on them similar to how Sunshine Mint makes bars with JM on them.

Shame about the box, what is it made of, cheap cardboard?

If these ever appreciate in premium it will be because 1 in 50 people will have a sharp mint box.

I can see the wording when people sell them, 1 bar in original box with slight damage to one corner, priced to clear.
because another guy has one with a sharp box.

It's all about the stupid box in my head and I don't collect boxes whether they contain gold, silver or barbie dolls.

The package does not worry me, prefer cast bars without packaging anyway.... I can see the empty boxes will just end up in the sock draw, being cardboard you could flatten them out.

Who knows in the future, maybe someone will want pristine original boxes...that smell like socks!!
