I wonder how may people are collecting/or have these coins that are rapidly becomming rare. The proof coins from 95-97 suposedly had a mintage of 2500/year but only 1114 of the 96 and over 769 of the 97 were sold (http://www.rene-finn.de/English/palladiumtabeng.html). I Have collected as many of these coins as I can and while Palladium is not a popular metal in Australia it is very popular in Germany and Eastern Europe. I just wondered if anyone was collecting these ? The one item I have not been able to find is the Typeset presentation cases of which 750 were made and sold for $65.
I'd buy one if I had the money... and if anyone was selling... If I had a Palladium Emu coin from the Perth Mint I wouldn't be selling though. Unless of course somebody made me an offer I couldn't refuse...
Pt metal group is on the rise and with Russian Pd stockpiles under pressure watch these prices! By the way KJC is selling the 95 coin https://www.kjc-gold-silver-bullion.com.au/CT/palladium/40
It seems the 97 is the rarest of the lot, as there are a couple of auctions for 95 and 96, but i have only seen one completed auction for a 97. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Australia-1...190766224081?pt=AU_Coins2&hash=item2c6a8d92d1
Bullion Mintages are 1996- 1214. 1997- 1293 and 1998-2750 (mostly sent to Germany) Proof Mintages are 1995 - 2500, 1996 - 1144, and 1997 -769 Many of these coins were melted down when Pd prices shot up. I think there are very few left ... so well done on the 97 coin
