G'day I saw this being auctioned on eBay and I couldn't get over the cost of postage. The item is 220741948459, it was 10 x 1oz silver buffalo rounds which went for $234 but the person is charging $300 yes three hundred dollars postage within Australia, I thought this was some mistake but this statement was included in the spiel :
"Postage: Don't let the price of postage deter you, as what is important is the overall price.

    Bid With Confidence!
eBay used to be good in the early days but it is just full of crooks and scammers these days

It's cheap if he is personally catching a plane and hand delivering it and insuring himself too.

Would there be no fees on postage?

Exactly, eBay final value fees are only paid on the final value of the product and NOT the postage.

As a buyer you need to be cautious however as if it comes down to a PayPal dispute, PayPal will only refund you the product cost and NOT the postage.

Correct. Ebay fees are calculated on the sale price of the item only, postage does not attract fees. Ebay tries to ban seller who effectively try to avoid fees by having high postage costs.

If you have a Singapore ebay account.

I think you can list for free and sell to Australia.
