    The bar on the picture is far too big for 1 kg gold bar.
    Size like that at least 3-4 kg.

    I say we all chip in for it and then open a dispute with PayPal when it turns out to be fake/doesn't arrive.

    I would be rather chuffed to see PayPal $48,000 out of pocket.

    perth mint sells 1kg gold bar for $less than that offer, cheaper here. And i think perth mint may be just a little more reputable

    Ask for more pictures to prove it is not fake, e.g. on a set of scales, submerged in a bucket of water to show displacement , under the tire of a truck to prove it is strong, cut in half to prove it is all the way through, that sort of thing, might as well have a bit of fun with them.

    The best question I ever received on Ebay was when selling a pair of trainers - someone asked if they 'bought it now' would I send them a picture of me standing on a bunch of grapes with them, they didn't actually want the trainers sending through - just a picture of me crushing grapes.

    Makes Matrix's offers of condoms look tame by comparison... :p
