    g"day 6 weeks ago everbody hated e bay ..now everone quotes e bay prices ...cant work out why ..maybe I missed something

    matrix had some prick on ebay yestday trying to get in my computer (lotsa $200 cions buy now $400 tried to buy ftf thought it was bullshit wanted me to send cash first ) e bay sent me a warning .no more feepay for me

    There might be some logic to his reason not to meet face to face after winning an auction.

    This is a well known ebay scam:

    You win an auction... pay via paypal... meet up face to face... then buyer goes and reports after a week that the item was never sent.

    Seller looses out as there is no proof that the item was ever sent off.

    In my defence, I've added links to Fleabay listings to my sales because I'm too lazy to take the photos myself...

    Further - gives a buyer/bidder an idea of max ceiling price... generally sells here for 20% less

    eBay is kinda bad if you are the SELLER due to the fees imposed.
    But if you are the buyer and know what you are looking for than its a very good place.

    simple solution my friend. its called a bill of sale. it can be written on a napkin for all anyone cares. as long as it has both signatures. you can even take a picture of the bloke if you're worried.

    If you are offering pick up on expensive eBay item and the buyer is unknown to you, ask the buyer to leave positive feedback on your laptop at the time of pickup.

    I've noticed a lot of the auctions run on this website have been going for more than what you could pick up the same thing for from eBay.
    That's something I definitely don't understand.

    I've lately been buying/selling a lot from eBay. Generally telling anyone if they want to pick up, to bring the cash with them instead!
