Don't worry :) I have regretted purchases short term, but never long term.

My partner and I also went all in on Monday I think it was :( So not happy! Could have bought an oz of gold or another kg of silver today. SO annoying and not a very nice start to our wealth creation with pm's. Thank goodness our SMSF isn't set up fully yet as God only knows how much of that we would have also spent!! Having said that if we had all of our super rolled over into today than we probably would have gone all in again and then the price fall tomorrow! I guess you can never tell. Still really disappointing that the we went all in with our personal savings to that's not wealth sitting in a super account, that really does make a difference to us now I guess.

I bought some on Wednesday with the lower price. Was going to buy on Saturday (with the higher price) but the lineup was too long and I wasn't feeling well, glad I didn't buy. The money I spent today would've bought me 2.5 ounces less on Saturday.

Mate dont worry about it :p

First of all you dont know what the price is going to be the next day so dont sweat it.

Your buying your ounces for wealth creation which is a long term thing. Dont worry about what the price is going to be two days later. In 5 years time you will look at the absolute bargain price you bought your PM's at and have a big smile on your face.

    :D

    Cheers

Don't think for a second you made a mistake.
People quibble too much at this level of prices. It's still bargain basement at $50.
You and your partner won't be the poor schmucks that buy silver at $150/oz. How smart would you feel then?

I regret when I buy at lows (because it went even lower)
I regret when I buy at highs (because it went lower)
I regret when I sell at lows (because it went higher)
I regret when I sell at highs (because it went even higher)

So you will never be satisfied. Just ask yourself: were you satisfied at the time you bought? If yes, then that's what counts.

The fact that you bought PMs means you are already way more knowledgeable then 9x% of the worlds population. Knowledge is the most valuable thing (albeit even better at a lower price or free, yes). And remember, it has never gone to zero.

Thanks szag, our silver arrived today and gosh it was nice to hold it! my partner has handed some of it to me every now and again to remind me that we have made the right decision and that we will be holding onto it for years not a few days so the price fluctuation doesn't matter right now :)

Not if you have the nutz in poker =D or pulling off a big bluff that you know the other person will fold.

We will know a bit better on Monday - after the Friday Fed meeting and the weekend Eastern trading.

Don't sweat the 10% drop. Come back in just 30 days and you will see exactly what I mean!

Picture it as a rubber band being pulled back. The more they pull the price down the harder it will eventually spring back.

You did VERY well buying when you did - and taking the plunge.

This little 'loss' will be very temporary - your money has NEVER been safer.
