Can someone tell me if there are any security features for detecting counterfeit paper notes? I presume counterfeits are/were a problem before the switch to polymer notes - but I cant seem to find anything definitely showing what to look for when purchasing older Australian paper banknotes. I'm new to this area, but since it intrigues me - I'd like to gather some knowledge.
