Dessicants

    Does anyone know of a suitable compound that is or can be used as a safe dessicant?

    Like Bicarb soda is used for absorbing odour from the fridge, is there a similar, readily available, non-reactive, moisture scavenging compound that is safe to leave for quite some time?

    Rice is cheap as and will not react, Vacuum pac works well, orrrr nitrogen atmosphere.

    Rice in an old kids sock along with vac pac in decent thickness of plastic is cheap as . (wrap your silver in unreactive material first as some plastics will react)
