Opinions? Personally interested in the price of 91,92,93,94,95,96 kooks as I have rolls I want to get rid of but am unwilling to take a hit on them. Given the fall of Silver I'm not entirely sure I can move them for profit, but my average price is decent, being $32oz on these. I personally think whatever the price is on a roll of remints the 91 kooks command $2 extra given their scarcity. It's just getting an average figure that has me stumped at the moment, are these still a $35-$38 investment? Please note this is not a sales pitch so no emails or private messages, I just want to know where the kook market is at right now.
If you're thinking of buying more silver with the proceeds, ignore the dollar value, and just look at the percent over spot premium you paid, and the percent over spot premium you can obtain.
Need le fiat, so while I know they're something I should hold onto I don't really have that option. Not by choice, I am moving from one shitty investment to another - property. So what do you think I can get for em?
Its hard to say Roman, because i have not seen any dealer selling kook other than current year. Before the dip, they are still $5-$7 over spot as a base price. Whether they have sold out at dealer or they are not willing to sell at this low spot...i have no idea. Maybe when the time comes, put it in auction?
I'd keep kookas ... you need fiat but what choice do you have? sell kookas OR ...? if there's another option and it is not a secret - let us know coz: if considering between selling kookas or pandas - sell kookas if considering selling some silver bars or kookas - sell bars if considering selling kookas or gold - sell gold so it all depends on options you have to raise fiat
I have 1 option, sell my kooks. They're the only metal I have left apart from my SBSS rounds which I am not selling. If these kooks are not in the $30-$40 range I may have to rethink things though.
Hmm by the looks of things (low spot prices), might be tough to get people to notice anything with high premiums right now. I would suggest selling them on eBay. Seems to me people there are willing to pay more. But personally I won't pay more than 30AUD for them.
Yeah, getting a handful of offers in the 30-32 range which is not gonna cut it for me. Even with spot where it is that's too low in my opinion. Let's see what ebay thinks.
That was the plan initially but I'm no closer to getting an idea on price than I was before I started the thread, unless I'm delusional and these really are only worth $30. This is the little stack I am planning to get rid of: 60x 1991 kookaburras 60x 1992 kookaburras 20x 1993 kookaburras 20x 1994 kookaburras 20x 1995 kookaburras 20x 1996 kookaburras 21x 2012 kookaburras
roman, try Dutch auction style as was advised start high and reduce price every 5-6 hrs until your target price reached or until sold out more time efficient than discovering the price without selling
I value pre-2011 with the exception of a few dates (1990, 2008, 2004, 2009) at $33 maximum Been shipping about a roll a week overseas until recently and that was the best price I could get. I have 2011, 2012 and 2013 Kooks for sale and no one will pay $33 each on Silverstackers. Tried to flog them on ebay individually @ $38 each and managed to sell 1 x 2012 and 1 x 2011 coins in over a month. After fees I probably made about $34 a coin Been offering to buy/trade pre-2011 Kooks and everyone expects me to buy at unrealistic prices for restrikes that they themselves are not prepared to pay. :/
