Has anyone had experience with crypto visa/debit cards? I have friends using wirex and crypto.com but these aren't available to Australian citizens. I am considering a Spectrocoin card. Any experiences would be greatly appreciated. Is anyone here on crypto forums that I might ask this question to?
How do they work? i could imagine going upto buy some petrol, Sorry sir you dont have enough funds, Then you wait 15mins for the crypto price to change and you have enough funds to buy the whole petrol station, but if you arent quick enough entering your pin you dont have enough funds again lol. The wife is like why are we going food shopping today? and you be like The price is down and that bread would work out to cost $20 a loaf, will have to Hodl a bit more until price goes up before doing the food shop. Would have tobe the most volatile card under the sun.
Funds are held in fiat. You can top up your card with either fiat or crypto. If you top up with crypto it automatically exchanges it into fiat.
Then you'll be trapped in an infinite loop. Paying CGT on your last CGT payment. Do the cards have any tax tools that automatically generate tax reports?
Dunno, haven’t looked into that as I’m not selling crypto to fund the card. Edit to add: that’s a problem for the future
I've been using Coinjar for years. Very happy with the service. Even got a free card when the original broke ( normally $30 ).
Thanks all. Huge help. So, people here have happily used crypto.com and Coinjar cards. I've spent a lot of time looking into crypto.com so I will apply for this one. Might even apply for a Coinjar card too once I've looked into it. Appreciate the responses everyone...
