I wasn't real sure where to post this but decided this is the best place so everyone can see, enjoy and appreciate :)

I happen to know a 84 year old man who is one of last of the old school tradesman, the type of guy who has forgotten more than most people know. He's what I would call a Master tradesman and he's a jeweller.
Over the years he has developed some techniques that brings copper out of the industrial age which is how most people think of this dull unloved metal and brings it to life in full colour with an old timer aussie flavour.
After many conversations about his work I could never really picture in my mind what his work would actually look like and basically he just said you just need to come have a look. Well today I finally got the time to go around to his house and what I saw totally blew my mind. I could have spent all day at his house going through boxes and checking out all the displays throughout his home which was like an art gallery. The photo's your about to see were all taken on my phone's crappy camera and really don't do any of the pieces justice. There were hundreds of pieces and these are just a few. Enjoy :)

This Crayfish is fully articulated and everything moves so you can display it in different positions.

He has sold pieces in private galleries all over Australia and a lot of these pieces are for sale but I warn you, they aren't cheap.

PM me if your interested in anything that you see :)

Unfortunately he has no website so the only way he used to advertise was in Galleries and word of mouth. He is now 84 and been making these pieces for about 35 years and is now winding up. Unfortunately he is no longer on the tools and has not made anything since his wife passed several years ago so everything he has now is just stockpile and no more will ever be made. It's a shame because he truly is an Artist.
I will definitely been going back soon for a cuppa and to dig a bit further into the boxes which are stacked about 5 high along 2 walls of his spare bedroom.
