Photo's & condition are most important
You could always cash them in at the bank

As far as I know they are still legal tender. I work in retail and have taken old paper notes as payment recently and sent them with the rest of the cash to Armaguard and there were no problems. Wouldn't bother with that website they are offering a low rate for those banknotes.

Wow what a rip of site. I will give you face value for your withdrawn from circulation round 50 s and still be giving you more than they pay. All Australian currency issued is still valid currency that can be exchanged at a bank for face. You could even take a holey dollar to a bank and get 50 cents (5 shillings)if you wanted. I would give you a little more if you have one. Say $2?
That site clearly lies when it states banks don't accept old notes

I've been buying them just out of curiosity. The last of them were going out of circulation in my earliest memories. I've been paying around 50% over face value for pretty nice notes without folds )but not absolutely mint crisp).

It's possible though unlikely you have a rare prefix or signature combination but more likely they are just curiosities.

Please don't use that website. I'm sure I could work out a better deal for you even if they are screwed up into little folded balls.

Banks do take them for face value, I would look to see if anyone is interested if not send them to the bank where they will send them to the RBA and I think they destroy them! What do you have? :)

Yes put up a few photos. Like to see what there like. You might have a 1st or last prefix or some other serial worth another few dollars.
