I use a Samsung Galaxy 8 (old phone) on a little elevator platform which allows for perfect focus. Nothing else but indirect lighting.
Question: Has anyone tried using a macro lens on a smartphone? they vary in cost, however for those who dont have a digital camera with external flash tech?
I use a Calidaka lab scissor platform I got off Amazon for $9 and nothing else. I do have a Apexel for micro with my phone and got it too off Amazon for $37. I think you can search Amazon for these two items, I don't know how to link....... oh wait: maybe these will work: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07TPLKT7D/? https://www.amazon.com/CALIDAKA-Scissors-Stainless-Laboratory-Experiment/dp/B08KT15DT8?
No, the phone camera lens hangs off the platform just the right amount for 1.5" discs. A black cloth under all on the table. Seems to work great and I've struggled with pics my whole life. Best, cheapest solution I've found. Easier and better than my Nikon set up. bob
