What value has the COA on proof Kooks or similar Australian proof coins. For example if you have a 2oz proof Kook with a mintage of 500 and a McDonald value of $120. What is the value of the proof coin (mint condition) without the COA ? less 10% ? 20% ? 30% ?
Hi nic what would you estimate ? on an old 2oz kook the bullion coin goes for $90-100. On a more rare proof with COA - $160 without a COA ?
if bullion kook worth around 90-100 ea, then i'd like to pay the proof edition which without COA 110-120 (if full COA proof worth 160), if coming with original box I'm happy to pay around 120, if without box and coa, then around 100-110, example only
Thanks nic. I think that is a little low. After all the box and certificate will not endure and in truth the coin is the only item of value and rarity? I think a $10 premium on a coin with a 500 mintage that is 15 years old over a coin that has a 500,000 mintage is pretty poor. ?
yeah, that's only an example, if 500 mintage, definitely will worth more even without COA ( by the way my example only under the case of "Bullion worth 90-100, Proof+coa+box worth 160" )
