This guy is trying to pass of a non silver New Zealand 50 cent in this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/six-1966...2438?pt=AU_Bullion&hash=item27d2a809b6&_uhb=1
I used to buy/sell a lot of mountain bikes/parts on ebay - the number of out of focus, ridiculous angle, poorly lit photos of bikes I've seen would boggle the mind. My fave was the guy selling a $2k bike - 6 photos, only one of the actual bike and it was fuzzy, the rest were of shoes, bike pump & tubes. Funniest thing was the gallery photo was his pair of very 2nd hand shoes. Some (many) people are clueless when it comes to trying to sell things.
More than likely a genuine mistake. 100% feedback for 717 trades is very good so messaged him to see what the response would be, the silly goat somehow didn't realize the NZ coin was different to the rest
Must bid .. to get that free Kiwi round To be fair its quite an easy mistake to make (if you dont look carefully) - those Kiwi 50s are exactly the same size and weight (both just shy of 14g) as our 1966 50s , but the kiwi 50 has broken reeding (and a large ship on the reverse). I got caught that way once on ebay when buying a few rounds from a deceased estate ... explained it to the seller and she was very apologetic and refunded me straight away.
