Cast or Minted?

    hey all,

    Just was hoping to hear your thoughts/opinions on whether I should purchase a 50g gold cast bar or minted bar? And from which mint.. Perth Mint or Pamp Suisse?

    I regret getting certicards. I've never been able to touch my gold! and they attract no real premium in the secondary market. Would go cast in a bar every time now.

    I also wouldn't go for 1+oz bars and coins as I did initially. I think the premium on fractional gold is well worth paying (and is usually retained in private sales) as smaller gold is MUCH more liquid. But if you want a 50-grammer then go for it.

    I had a 50g Valcambi Combibar (high premium but cute) and eventually just sold it to Perth Bullion at ~spot, because I cbf breaking it up and selling in pieces privately. Fortunately spot was up so I broke even...

    I'm now leaning towards cast. I should stop watching YouTube videos of cast pamp bars

    I buy mine from the Melbourne GoldStackers shop     and I can sleep peacefully at night. If their new ones are FAKE, then we are all in trouble Lol. _JOHNLGALT.

    p.s. I just noticed that this is about Gold. Oh well I buy my 1 oz. biscuits from them as well.
