There are potentially 4000 or so SS customers here.

Less the members who are selling, not buying.
Less the members who never buy, theyre only here to read the threads.
Less the members who are buyers, but only want to buy gold.
Less the members who are buyers of silver but do not have any funds available (damn you school fees, skyrocketing utility bills etc.)
Less the members who are buyers of silver but only want to buy bars
Less the members who dont like secondhand bullion
Less the members who only buy highly recognisable bullion for ease of future resale

That might leave you with a handful of potential SS customers at this point in time and half of them are probably lowballers anyway. Ebay has millions of potential customers so it is no surprise that your coins sell so well there.

I congratulate you thucy.....if thats the point of this exercise. :/

I've made this comment a few times over the last 6 months or so. People on SS used to recognise a good price on most of the mainstream numi/bullion coins. Nowdays everyone seems to be so focused on spot that unless you are selling at spot or bullion coins that go for spot (with the exception of pre dec) things dont sell. You will also receive an PM box full of offers of spot (or less) for your lunars, proofs etc.

I don't know if this is because of a change of people or the fact that so many people on here are selling these days that the market is flooded with choice. However - unless I am selling something that is spot priced these days I tend to put it up on ebay - particularly as you get the first 30 items per month for free so you can put a base price on and if it sells great and if it doesn't then you haven't lost anything.

dont be offended it's only temporary, when the price spikes up people will start buying again, theres plenty on here that are still holding a loss I would suggest, therefore very wary. One old time stacker suggested the other day it was exactly like 2009.

The best part is when people try to sell items on SS for more than what they go for on eBay even after fees/postage etc.

Once silver goes up it will be a lot easier to sell on SS.

In this case yes - but they were up on buy-it-nows, they sold within 48 hours (200 coins total) and I didn't have to do any bumps or get silly offers below spot!

There are many other times where I've got more like 15-25% above SS prices AFTER ebay/paypal fees.
