I just want to ask exactly how this buzz system works in the trades forum.

Is the idea that you're announcing that you've got first dibs on an item? My first thought was that you'd just immediately pm the seller and it would be evident who got in first. Is the buzz system just to prevent an overload of messages on the same item?

    ~tl:dr

Buzz means that u will buy something at whatever they are asking. If u buzz first, u bought it.

Then after u buzz they will send u a message with their bank details etc.

Or you can say "pm sent" if u want to chat about details or work out a deal or even say "pm sent" and then basically buzz in the pm if u dont want people to know u bought it

Just a more open and faster way of claiming whatever is up for sale. If it's a good deal you don't want to waste valuable seconds going through the PM system. There's even a buzz button to shave off a few more milliseconds (post reply-buzz)

Buzz means you are making an offer to buy - the seller is not bound to accept the offer on the "first in" principle, but that's how most sellers operate.

Bit like game shows - first to buzz gets to answer etc.

    Learn something every day !
For a minute there, I thought everyone was having a "euphoric moment", in anticipation of some more metal on the way.

Nah, only joking. Don't mind me.
