Buying bullion overseas

    G'Day,

    My family is embarking on a trip early next year to Europe/UK/Russia. I was just wondering if there is something of value to buy overseas that might not be available in Australia, or would attract GST if posted.

    Vague question, I know. I'm mainly interested in gold coins up to 1oz without large premiums.

    Any thoughts?

    Gold and silver Britannias are cool, but normally attract GST.

    the 2012 russian st george the victorious bullion coins should be released in a month or two, they should attract no gst. depends if you like em or not i guess. they're difficult to source in this part of the world.
