Yeap. Received the news through their newsletter that they were considering accepting bitcoin. This is better than the other bullion dealer silverbullion.com.sg that was only accepting another type of crypto (can't recall what it was)
Do the courier companies still cause problems when importing investment bullion? Is it a relatively simple process, or do they sometimes still get confused about Aussie GST?
Agora Commodities and Amagi Metals have both turned over $10 million USD equivalent each in bullion via bitcoin sales. They were making these sales whilst Peter Schiff was incorrectly claiming people don't spend bitcoin. Schiff now accepts bitcoin! It is not hard to work out why Schiff has done a 180. I hope Bullion Star prospers further as their business continues to grow, now with bitcoin payments.
I'm interested in keeping track of alpha cities around world where bullion dealers accept bitcoin So far New York: euro pacific London:? Hong Kong:? Singapore: Bullion Star Beijing:? Sydney/MELBOURNE: etc..
Not too sure about bullionbitcoin but thanks I should have specified, a reputable over the counter bullion dealer; you can turn up to their store and walk out with a 1oz coin If you know any other please post them up
Well if banks could guarantee they're not going to cut off merchant facilities or close business critical transactional or forex accounts, and the ATO could guarantee that they're not going to decide selling a BTC is a GST event, Australian dealers might step up. Until then, there's too much regulatory and counterparty risk.
If more and more bullion dealers start accepting bitcoin in big cities around the world, with a deeper and liquid market you will be able to teleport gold
