Evening fellow stackers, Looking at organising another meet within the next fortnight. Have had a number of smaller meets of late (romantic candlelit settings optional), but am wondering if we plan this better, we can better organise a venue and something offering more than pikey tea and biscuits... Now there's a fair few stackers here in Brissy, so I think its high time folks came out to play... I'm proposing the following: Location to be confirmed via PM rather than a public announcement for security/confidentiality purposes. Bring some items to trade/sell/swap. Bring a 'show and tell' item. I try to make a point of this with obscure and different coins/bars. As with other meets, I do ask that attendees have traded with other Brissy stackers who can vouch for them. People with no trade feedback or 'non entities' will not receive replies. A weekend date/time - I've usually arranged late one's during schoolnights so hasn't been easy for a lot of people. Time to try something different. I've a great idea for a safe venue to use, also with food and drink, however I will need a vague idea of numbers first. Get your interest in guys, will be great
Well I am interested, pending date and place etc... bit short notice if you were thinking this weekend though, I am already booked out It would be great to get a regular meet happening like those bloody Melbournians... we cant let them have all the fun!
I am also up for a regular meet. Once a month or so - same cafe on sunday mornings or something. Maybe in West End - so that parking isnt an issue and is pretty central. Checocho or Three Monkeys or other similar place. And yeah, im in pending non clash with other stuff.
Excellent response so far in both public/PM - think were looking around 10 or so... Venue potential in West End is great. Will look into a couple of options - may have a nice private space with food for a small fee of $10 if people are game?
Ah Matrix seems to have changed his mind... I'll look at locking dates in over the next day or two - any preferences for people? I would like to say Sunday the 3rd is likely the best.
